Alvida, Indore. So long… 0

I finally got freedom from my job at CSC India (Indore) on 25-July-2008. It feels awkward not to be earning any more. And I don’t think I have saved much, and anyways, it is not even remotely sufficient to cover the cost of my oncoming student-dom (at the Stanford University, yooohooo!). So, anyone who’s moving on from one company is expected to write a good-bye email, and the case with me is no different. I have spent the last 2 years here, I joined as a campus recruit, and eventually did learn a lot of office-office. However, what I did not want to do, was to write something that people already have heard before. So, this what I finally wrote (after around 40-45 mins of effort) as my good-bye email, the last email I sent to my colleagues, friends and my partner-in-crime, before leaving my office. See if you can catch the sarcasm -

I just can not miss this ECD, so here it comes.. ;-)

Good-bye to the life I used to live, And the world I used to know; And kiss the hills for me, just once; Now I am ready to go! “Farewell”  -  Emily Dickinson Today is my last day at CSC India and it is time to bid farewell to everyone.

Last two years have been a roller coaster ride for me, with more ups, than downs, and its been a real pleasure to have had you all, riding along. I believe my “CSC” experience has matured me enough to be able to handle the professional life ahead. I believe that this relationship will continue even beyond our work place contacts. And, well, I also believe in fairy tales, but that’s a different matter.

Thank you, for being you. I wish you good health, success and peace. Keep in touch.

And, till we meet again.. Adios, amigos!

Well -

Jun 2008 - Monsoon clouds in Indore

Indore (India)

Monsoon Megha (hindi for clouds)! :-) I simply found it irresistible to not take a few pics of the wonderful first batch of monsoon clouds hovering over Indore. They brought in a few drizzles, cooled the weather a lot, and must have led many young and foolish people to propose to their loved ones! Colours did not come out as well as I would have wanted them to, but the rays still got captured. The beauty of clouds, the interplay of sunlight and the different colours it leads to, never ceases to amaze me. Its an awesome, breathtaking view, open for everyone to witness, just like the daily spectacle of the sky changing its colours early in the morning, right before sunrise.
